What is the best filler for facial rejuvenation?

Although all facial fillers can be used to restore a more youthful look to the face, they all have different benefits and downsides. Fat is an excellent filler because it comes from your own body! One of the main benefits is that when processed and injected properly, fat has the potential of being permanent. Also, fat is versatile as it can be used anywhere in the face. Other man-made fillers such as JUVÉDERM,® Sculptra,® Restylane,® and others, work great, are convenient and easy to use because they come in ready-to-use syringes. However, each product works in distinct areas of the face, and the results are only temporary having to be re-injected 3months up to two years later.

The transfer of fat generally costs more than the other fillers because the process is more involved. The fat is harvested using a mini-liposuction technique, then processed in a centrifuge and injected with a very specific technique into different planes so as to sculpt the face. Given the possibility of longer lasting effects, the long term cost of fat grafting may be less than repeated filler injections. Call today to schedule a consultation to discuss your specific goals and find out which fillers may work best for you.
